YouTube Data API & Google Business Profile

CreatifyHQ uses Google APIs to help users schedule YouTube uploads and publish business posts to their Google Business Profile locations.

Google OAuth Scopes

  • openid, email, profile – identify the Google account.
  • youtube – manage YouTube videos (upload, update metadata) with user consent.
  • business.manage (if available) – manage GBP posts for verified locations.
Scopes are requested only when the user chooses to connect YouTube or Google Business Profile. Users can revoke access from their Google Account at any time.

YouTube Usage

We support:

  • Uploading videos to the user’s channel on a chosen date/time.
  • Setting title, description, tags, and thumbnail (provided by the user).
  • Reading basic video stats (views, likes, comments count) for analytics.

We do not:

  • Access private watch history.
  • Modify videos not created via CreatifyHQ.

Google Business Profile Usage

For businesses that connect their GBP location, CreatifyHQ allows them to post short news updates and promotional posts.

  • User connects GBP via Google OAuth.
  • We read their managed locations list.
  • User chooses which location to connect.
  • We create Posts using the New Business Profile API at times they schedule.
